Program graduates will be eligible for certifications in:
- Limited Medical Radiography
- Medical Assisting
The Limited Radiography with Medical Assisting program combines education and certifications in X-ray and Medical assisting with one convenient Associate level program.
Under the direction of experienced and credentialed staff, students will participate in both classroom and hands-on laboratory study of x-ray and patient care procedures.
Students will learn the specialized skills of a Limited Medical Radiographer; such as setting up and operating the X-ray machine, positioning the patient for procedures, x-ray anatomy and calculating the dosage of radiation needed to create a quality x-ray for the physician.
In addition to being trained and certified in the field of Limited Medical Radiography you will also learn the hands-on patient care skills necessary to become a certified Medical Assistant
Program graduates are eligible to take the Florida Basic X-Ray Machine Operator examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and the Certified Medical Assistant Certification (NCMA) through the NCCT.
