X – Ray Tech Limited Medical Radiography with Medical Assisting

- Graduates are eligible to take the Florida Basic X-Ray Machine Operator examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and also the Certified Medical Assistant Certification (NCMA) through the NCCT.
The Limited Radiography with Medical Assisting program combines education and certifications in X-ray and Medical assisting with one convenient Associate level program.
Under the direction of experienced and credentialed staff, students will participate in both classroom and hands-on laboratory study of x-ray and patient care procedures.
Students will learn the specialized skills of a Limited Medical Radiographer; such as setting up and operating the X-ray machine, positioning the patient for procedures, x-ray anatomy and calculating the dosage of radiation needed to create a quality x-ray for the physician.
In addition to being trained and certified in the field of Limited Medical Radiography you will also learn the hands-on patient care skills necessary to become a certified Medical Assistant
