Cadence Bank featured ATA Career Education as their business “Spotlight” in Spring Hill, Florida. Cadence Bank has had a relationship with ATA for some time, providing Financial Counseling guest speaking events on site. Additionally, they have helped to promote ATA through “The Spotlight” for one week. In the future ATA will offer the community free blood pressure checks for Cadence Bank customers and surrounding businesses who wish to participate. This “Spotlight” is a great way of helping ATA serve others, and grow our relationship with businesses and the community!

1. The Clearwater Beach Library is offering free computer training from 1-3 p.m. each Monday.
Appointments are not required.Ray Pedersen, who spent 37 years at IBM designing computers and software, will offer instruction on topics ranging from how to check email to website surfing to opening and printing photos and documents.

2. Titusville Fire and Emergency Services Department, in partnership with Parrish Medical Center, is offering FREE CPR classes to our community. These classes are American Heart Association Heartsaver AED Certification (Citizen CPR). Participants in the 4 hour class will learn adult and child CPR and the proper use of Automatic External Defibrillators (AED). Infant CPR is not included in these classes.
These classes are FREE to the public on a first come-first served basis. Class size is limited to 10 students and pre-registration is mandatory. You must be at least 16 years of age or older to register.

3. Thanks to a grant program, some children in Largo can learn to swim for free this summer.There are 20 scholarships remaining for children 3-10. To qualify, each student must be enrolled in the Pinellas County School System’s free or reduced lunch program and have a current City of Largo recreation card.
